Airport
Arriving to Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro (Oporto), take the take the Metro Line E (Violet) till the Campanhã Train Station, there you’ll find an hourly train to Guimarães. You may also take a taxi, the trip will cost you approximately 24€. Departing from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport you’ll also find bus connections to Guimarães, the one-way ticket is around 8€ and the trip will last approximately 50 minutes. If you arrive to the Lisbon Airport (Portela) take the Metro red line to the Oriente Train Station.
Train
A CP – Comboios de Portugal, has frequent connections between the major railway stations in the country and Guimarães Train Station, the price and length of journey depends on the type of connection chosen. Once in Guimarães Train Station you may walk down the Av. Dom Afonso Henriques to the Vila Flor Palace.
