BILP – Biennale internationale du lin de Portneuf, already has a relevant history of partnership with Contextile – Bienal de Arte Têxtil Contemporânea ( since2016), which involves the exchange of artists between biennials through the realization of artistic residencies both in Canada (Québec) or in Portugal (Guimarães).

BILP 2025 theme:
FROM DAWN
“ Light is a determining factor for all living things, for animals as well as plants, from north to south and from east to west of the planet.
For humans, daily life unfolds according to the different parts of the day, the latter being named in various ways according to civilizations.
For Westerners, dawn is the first stage of the day. It is the moment when the sky begins to lighten, even before the solar disk appears. A moment that we associate by analogy with all beginnings.
What will dawn bring to mind in the minds of the artists invited to create a work for the BILP? This is what we will discover in the summer of 2025. “
