Creative Textile Forum
The Forum aims to bring together a group of international experts, as well as local economic and cultural agents and the community in general, in order to debate the potential of creating a collaborative platform and textile HUB in Guimarães, as a space for articulation between heritage, art, design, innovation and the textile industry, from a sustainable development perspective. A true factory of the future, which can give international visibility to creators and companies but also reinforce the sense of community through a sector that not only has deep traditions in the region but also has a dynamic industry based on innovation. We will discover examples of platforms and spaces that go beyond the conventional dimension of a museum to be true laboratories for creation and experimentation, in a strong interaction with communities and visitors, in knowledge and identification with this territory of remarkable heritage and textile culture.
